Colombia Manage Win Without Falcao

(goal.com)
Buenos Aires, Argentina - Even without star striker Radamel Falcao, Colombia defeated Jordan 3-0 to extend a very long unbeaten streak.  The Colombians have not lost an international match since their 2-0 loss to Uruguay in September.
Even without Falcao, the Colombians showed resilience against the Jordanians.  The first break through for Colombia occurred just before halftime.

Star midfielder, James Rodriguez, converted a fantastic penalty complete with a stuttered run up.  Colombia's number 10 placed the ball perfectly in the bottom corner, and completely deceived the Jordanian keeper.

The second goal was also scored from the spot.  However, the second penalty was taken by Fiorentina midfielder Juan Cuadrado.  Though the keeper correctly guessed the placement of the second penalty, it was just out of his reach.

Colombia's only non-penalty goal in the match came in the closing minutes of the match.  In what was one of the most impressive plays in the match, Fredy Guarin had a fantastic upper 90 shot from over 30 yards out.

This 89th minute goal was the nail in the coffin for the Jordanians as Colombia closed out its final match before the World Cup.

Colombia play their first World Cup match against Greece on June 14.
